Merge AV Event 01

Live A/V Event

MERGE’s first AV event took place in a hidden hangar within a flight field on the outskirts of Turin — a suggestive and open space temporarily reimagined for a 12-hour journey through sound and light.
From early evening until the first light of morning, the audience was guided by six performers: Kenzio, Andrea Murru, Impure, Valerio della Notte, Alexio, and Ricard — each contributing a unique sonic narrative, blending eras, genres, and emotional intensities.

At the center of the experience stood ECHOTRACE — a site-specific light installation combining laser projection and LED wall elements. Designed to respond in real time to the music, the piece transformed the hangar into a reactive visual space, where light pulses and spatial rhythms evolved in constant dialogue with the sound.

ECHOTRACE

ECHOTRACE is an audio-reactive piece built around the real-time interplay between laser projection and LED wall visuals. The laser dynamically interacts with the images, creating a responsive surface where sound, light, and video merge into a single expressive system.

The evening began with slow, progressive sounds — spacious and minimal. The music unfolded gradually, setting the pace and allowing people to ease into the space.

As the night progressed, the energy increased. House, techno, and shades of dark disco and electro defined the central part of the event, keeping the flow steady and dynamic.

In the final hours, the atmosphere became more raw and physical. 90s techno and stripped-down house accompanied the closing sets, guiding the last dancers toward the end.
